Description
Quiet | Sleek | Tankless | IN Wall Dehumidifier
Designed for multi-family and residential housing.
The patent pending IW25-4 In Wall Dehumidifier with combined Bi-Polar Ionization Technology controls excessive moisture that contributes to poor indoor air quality, property damage, mold, comfort complaints, and possible liability risks. The IW25-4 in wall dehumidification system helps lower indoor relative humidity helping prevent moisture issues. * The quiet and easy to install built-in dehumidifier system is suited for both new construction and retrofit installations in multifamily, hotels, student housing, office, and residential applications. Removes up to 30 pints per day (@80°F and 60%RH) in roughly 1,500 square feet. * The IW25-4 ON WALL Dehumidifier utilizes its integral humidistat to monitor the conditioned space. When the relative humidity goes above the selected setpoint, the dehumidifier will energize. As air is drawn across an evaporator coil. This means moisture will condense out of the air. The air is then reheated through the condenser coil and distributed back into the room.
Built-In Wall Dehumidifier: How it Works
Humidity can have a destructive impact on your home. Portable dehumidifiers take up floor space, and they can be noisy. Using built-in dehumidifiers at home solves space and noise issues. Built-in dehumidifiers are explicitly designed for small spaces like apartments, new constructions, renovations, and existing properties. They are tankless, which means easy removal for collected condensation. Built-in dehumidifiers are stand alone dehumidifiers and do not rely on an HVAC system.
As your home’s humidity increases, the air feels warmer since perspiration doesn’t evaporate as quickly. Since perspiring is the primary way humans regulate body temperature, less humidity in the air means evaporation can occur quickly, cooling the body efficiently. A dehumidifier maintains your home’s optimal humidity level by removing excess moisture from the air. Drier air also prevents the growth of allergens, pollens, dander, and discourages the musty odor associated with high humidity. A dehumidifier uses a fan to pull room air through a cooling coil. Once the warm air is pulled into the coil, moisture condenses and in the case of portable dehumidifiers, falls into the unit’s storage tank which often must be manually emptied.
Unlike portable dehumidifiers, built-in wall dehumidifiers are installed directly through the interior walls. They can also be mounted directly on the wall. Set the desired humidity level using the digital controls hidden behind the tamper-proof cover for hands-free dehumidification. This low-maintenance yet effective dehumidifier is ideal if you have limited space. The set-and-forget dehumidifier is energy-efficient to help you save on electric bills. It also produces less operating noise when compared to other dehumidifiers.
Common Uses
In-Wall Dehumidifiers are ideal in small spaces such as basements. Mold and mildew can wreak havoc on your property. It can damage your space’s structural integrity even if your house, apartment, or office space is well-maintained. Allergens thrive in humid places and small areas with minimal to limited ventilation, including basement apartments that can be moist regardless of the local climate. The IW25 In-Wall Dehumidifier with combined Bi-Polar Ionization Technology works in condos, apartments, homes, multifamily spaces, and in nursing homes and hotels that require built-in dehumidification. Besides keeping your humidity level in the optimum range, dehumidifiers also prevent maintenance costs, including mold remediation and property damage related to damp conditions.
Benefits of In-Wall Dehumidifiers
An IW25 IN-wall dehumidifier is popular because it occupies minimum space and offers the following benefits:
- Boosts health – Indoor air is typically more polluted and moist than outdoor air. As a result, mold, mildew, allergens, etc., thrive, triggering respiratory and allergic issues. Using an in-wall dehumidifier reduces the ambient humidity keeping your home or office humidity level at between 30 and 50 percent. Dehumidifiers minimize the production of molds, mildews, and other allergens.
- Protects property – Excess moisture can damage walls, floors, beams, and furniture. It can also affect clothes, books, electronic items, etc. Dehumidifiers can protect your property since they inhibit fungus and rust related to damp conditions.
- Removes pests and musty odors – Pests such as moths, cockroaches, spiders, etc., thrive in moisture and high humidity. An in-wall dehumidifier can help to eliminate pest problems as it balances the air humidity for your own comfort and peace of mind. Mold and mildew growth can create pungent, unpleasant, and even noxious odors. Using an in-wall dehumidifier lets you breathe healthier odor-free air.
Tamper-Proof & Tankless Dehumidifier
Designed for multifamily housing, residential and commercial use
The patent-pending IW25 In-Wall Dehumidifier with combined Bi-Polar Ionization Technology utilizes its integral humidistat to monitor the indoor environmental conditions. The dehumidifier will energize when the relative humidity goes above the selected setpoint. As air is drawn across an evaporator coil, which is cooler than the dew point of the air, moisture condenses and is captured, and resulting beneficial ions are also distributed throughout the room.
The IW25 In-Wall Dehumidifier with combined Bi-Polar Ionization Technology helps maintain indoor humidity below 60% RH and helps prevent condensation. The easy-to-install unit runs quietly at 45 dBA**, without sacrificing comfort or efficiency. The in-wall mounted/recessed dehumidifier is suited for both new construction and for retrofit installations in multifamily, commercial, educational, and industrial applications.
The IW25 In-Wall Dehumidifier with combined Bi-Polar Ionization Technology is designed for recessed wall mounting. For semi-recessed applications, an IDS Exterior Sleeve (sold separately) can be used. The multifamily/commercial IW25 IN Wall dehumidifier includes a bi-polar ion generator, 1 wall front cover, 1 wall washable air filter, 1 drain hose and clamp, 1 power cord, 1 front cover tool, 1 set of tamper-resistant screws and 1 Operations Manual. All dehumidifier parts are included with purchase. The mounting screws are not provided with purchase; we suggest #6 x 2.
